Random: Elephant Poo
Last Thursday a friend of mine, Sam, dropped by San Francisco and gave me a gift that he bought which reminded him of me. A few weeks before that he had mentioned that he found some elephant poop and decided to get some for me. Of course, I thought that he was joking, but apparently not! He texted me last Thursday letting me know that he was in town and that he brought the elephant poop with him! Once he arrived at my house, he handed me the elephant poop. To my pleasent surprise, it was a sketchbook made out of elephant poo, making the product ecologically responsible.
"Elephants, horses, cows, donkeys, pandas, and other animals eat large amounts of fibrous vegetation everyday. They also have relatively inefficient digestive systems which means that when they poo (it's not gross since these animals don't eat meat, fish, cheese, and other stinky things) it's filled with lots of intact fiber. Well, this fiber makes for great pulp for paper making and that's were we come in." - PooPoo Paper
Awesome & unique sketchbook!

Design: Could Be Useful
I was having a chat with Connie today and she sent me some links that could be useful. They are quite silly, but I think I will be using them in some future projects! Here are the links:
Enjoy, and have a beautiful weekend! (:

Design: Cool Packaging Boxes
I recently received two new packages, one from Disney Store and one from Speck. When I opened them, I was really fascinated by the graphics that were inside. Most packages I receive are normal, with no special graphics. In this case, both packages were blank on the outside, but once you open it, surprise! Beautiful graphics lining the inner flaps.
I made good use of the Disney store box for a dog house.
